Stain Tips

  • Cleaning Materials
    All Purpose Cleaner Windex or Formula 409
    Liquid Dish Soap Preferred Dawn or Joy
    Sponge
    Paper Towels
    Scrape off as much putty as possible.  Spray the area with All Purpose cleaner and wipe with paper towels.  Remove any remaining residue with a sponge dampened with warm water and liquid dish soap.  Rinse with water.  Repeat as needed.

    FOR STAINLESS STEEL APPLIANCES - Use any stainless steel cleaning product per the manufacturer’s direction. Repeat as needed
  • Cleaning Materials
    Rubbing Alcohol
    Nail Polish Remover
    Dull Knife or Metal Spoon
    Cotton Balls
    Ice Cubes
    Scrape off as much putty as possible.  Use ice cubes to chill the putty making it easier to scrape away.  Saturate a cotton ball with nail polish remover and blot the stained area.  Repeat as needed.  Rubbing alcohol is a good substitute for nail polish remover.

    Scrape off as much putty as possible.  Use ice cubes to chill the putty making it easier to scrape away.  Saturate a cotton ball with nail polish remover and blot the stained area.  Repeat as needed.  Rubbing alcohol is a good substitute for nail polish remove.

    For removing Silly Putty from hair, you may try using baby oil or a generous amount of hair conditioner along with warm water. Massage the product you choose around the scalp and area containing the Silly Putty, and then gently comb it through. After Silly Putty is removed, wash hair with shampoo.
