Snowman Snow Ruler

Snow rules! Measure the accumulation (big or small!) with a snowman snow ruler you can make at home.

Supplies Needed

Gather all the supplies needed to bring your craft ideas to life! From paints and markers to glue and scissors, our crafts section has everything to spark creativity and make every project truly special.

  • Disposable Plate(s)
  • Pencil(s)
  • Ribbon
  • Ruler
  • Wooden Spoon

Steps

  • Step 1

    Cover spoon in white paint. Dry 1–2 hours. Add second coat of paint. Dry 1–2 hours.

  • Step 2

    Use ruler and pencil to mark 1” increments on spoon handle.

  • Step 3

    Paint facial features on bowl of spoon.

  • Step 4

    Paint over pencil measurements. Let all paint steps dry 1–2 hours.

  • Step 5

    Tie ribbon around neck of spoon.

  • Step 6

    Place in the snow to measure how much has accumulated!
