Ice Cube Painting

Supplies Needed

Gather all the supplies needed to bring your craft ideas to life! From paints and markers to glue and scissors, our crafts section has everything to spark creativity and make every project truly special.

  • Cardstock
  • Craft Sticks
  • Ice Cube Tray
  • Warm Water

Steps

  • Step 1

    Place watercolor tablet in 2 oz warm water and mix with craft stick to dissolve.

  • Step 2

    Pour mixture into ice cube tray.

  • Step 3

    Repeat steps 1–2 for as many colors as you’d like.

  • Step 4

    With the help of an adult, cut craft stick in half.

  • Step 5

    Place craft stick cut-side-down into cube section.

  • Step 6

    Repeat steps 4–5 until each cube has a craft stick.

  • Step 7

    Freeze tray 5–6 hours. When cubes are frozen, gently remove from ice cube tray.

  • Step 8

    Use frozen paint cubes on cardstock like paint brushes to create colorful patterns and pictures.
